Meanwhile sits the watcher

Guarding the ways whence we came,

Ayers Rock of comfort,

Ark of treasures feeding sustenance

From that bed rock of comfort

To fall back on when the batteries weaken.

A teacher and guide to revitalize,

To plug into those deep recesses of knowledge,

Chambers of secrets, with sockets of twigs

Recharging lost drive and will.

Oh, to visit the source often,

To have a mother to watch over

Those renewed steps

Once again taking us hither and thither

Over the hills, our footsteps

An umbilicus to guide us

Home again.
